If you’d like to be involved in the preparation of the pancakes, email Bart.

Infamous Women in the Bible: Eve
Genesis 3:1-21

We close out our Worship series on Infamous women with the most notorious of all: Eve.  Come and see what the Bible actually says about her.  After thousands of years of being portrayed as a seductress and deceiver in literature, artwork, and cinematic depictions, it is time to set the record straight.  See for yourself how misunderstanding can cause lasting pain and suffering, and discover a different way of being with other people who are also wrestling with their own sinful inclinations.

Interest Meeting for New Confirmation Class

On February 19 between the 9:00 am and 11:00 am worship services around 10:15 am, we’ll be holding an interest meeting for our new confirmation class! The class is open to students from 7th-12th grade who are interested in becoming members of the church. They’ll attend this class to complete the confirmation process. For more information, reach out to Pastor Sarah.

Kairos Prayer Ministry

March 16-19, Crozet UMC’s Doug Gaskell will be ministering as part of a Kairos team at Augusta Correctional Center. Kairos ministers to the incarcerated throughout Virginia, but it can only succeed with prayer. Will you partner with these men? Will you take 30 minutes to pray? Don’t know how to pray?

Get a detailed prayer guide here on our website.

Why would you care? The Gospel of Matthew tells us to visit the prisoners. The book of Hebrews tells us to remember the prisoners.

It’s tempting to “let someone else do it,” but prayer is the engine that makes Kairos possible. Make a difference. Change a life. Sign up to pray for 30 minutes.

Mark Your Calendar for April 1

We’re holding a church grounds spring workday on Saturday April 1. We’d love to have you out to help get the church grounds ready for Holy Week. We’ll have more details coming up!

Justice Ministry Update

On March 21, members of our Justice Ministry will gather with 25 area faith communities at IMPACT’s Nehemiah Action which will take place at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Performing Arts Center. Our Justice Ministry invites all members of the Crozet UMC congregation to join us at this event where IMPACT leadership will host area elected officials and decision-makers to further our joint goals of realizing justice in our community. This year’s initiatives for affordable housing, improved public transportation, and after-school care for preschool students are vitally important to so many of our fellow citizens. Our Justice Ministry members will be contacting all other members of the Crozet UMC congregation to describe how we can come together to seek justice in our community. For further information, please contact Lila Law.
