One of our church members, Brian Nagel, went to the hospital Thursday after having a stroke and then had emergency brain surgery to remove a clot. He has been cleared to return home January 21st, and as a congregation we are organizing a meal train for this week. The Nagels do not have any dietary restrictions.
We'd also like to offer a prayer for you to pray for the Nagel family at this time:
Almighty God,
We come to you in prayer,
As we lift up Brian to you.
He has suffered a tremendous health event, and has begun his journey to wholeness.
May your healing touch be upon him.
Grant him comfort and sustain his hope.
We thank you for all the medical workers who were able to tend to him and help him recover.
We commend into your loving arms Brian's family, Hilary and Julia.
Sustain them with your love and surround them with the Holy Spirit to imbue them with your strength.
Guide us to the ways in which we can be vessels of your love for Brian and his family.
Let us pour out love and support through acts of kindness and prayer.
May they discover how vast your love is and how much they are beloved to our Family of Faith.
We know that you are the Great Physician and your healing power is beyond our understanding.
May your will be done, and Brian be blessed.
