I'm sure we are all ready for spring to arrive at Burr Ridge! While March ushers in warmer temperatures, it also celebrates Women's History Month! A time to recognize female trailblazers who have helped shape our history. For Burr Ridge, figures like "Teacher Extraordinaire" Anne M. Jeans' service to education and remarkable legacy remain part of Burr Ridge C.C.S.D. 180 to this day. We will continue to celebrate Women's History Month on our social channels, and we invite you to follow along.

Tomorrow is Employee Appreciation Day, and what better way to thank our Village of Burr Ridge team than by recognizing them for their diligent preparation of our Annual Budget Report for 2023. Without their skill and dedication, none of this would be possible. Please find the report here to review in greater detail. There will also be a special board meeting on Monday, March 14th, at 6:00 p.m. at the Village Hall to explore any additional thoughts and opinions.

We have an action-packed month with the Secretary of State Mobile DMV back on March 16th, the first day of Spring on March 20th, and Daylight savings on March 13th. Additionally, we invite you to save the date for our annual Run the Ridge event on Saturday, May 7th. Register to participate at RaceRoster.com.

I continue to celebrate all of the good things that we share as an organization and look forward to the old traditions and new happenings in store for the Village!

Sincerely,

Evan Walter

Employee Appreciation

In honor of Employee Appreciation Day tomorrow, we would like to highlight the entire Village of Burr Ridge team for their diligent preparation of our Annual Budget Report for 2023. Primary responsibility for preparing the budget document lies with our Finance consultants Annmarie Mampe and Heather Davis. Without their skill and dedication, none of this would be possible. A larger group of talented individuals also contributed significantly to this document, including Police Chief John Madden, Public Works Director Dave Preissig, Deputy Police Chief Marc Loftus, Assistant to the Public Works Director Andrez Beltran, Village Arborist Nick Just, Community Engagement Analyst Hannah Weyant, Executive Assistants Cindy Pavelchik and Julie Tejkowski, and Intern Gabriel Lopez.

We are so grateful to the entire Village of Burr Ridge Staff for all they do to keep Burr Ridge “A Very Special Place.”
