We are happy to share with you EUCIS-LLL Manifesto “Building together the Future of Learning”
(available in (EN
)). One month is left ahead of the 2014 European elections, which will provide the right momentum to think about the future of learning in Europe. Poor access to lifelong learning limits people’s ability to access quality jobs and participate fully in society. We need a vision and a sustainable investment to ensure our education and training systems deliver better for economic development, social and civic participation, personal fulfilment and well-being. The European Parliament and civil society should further engage together in the future of learning.
The Manifesto contains 12 principles for lifelong learning
. If you are a candidate MEP, we hope you or your political group can take them into account when campaigning for the 2014 elections. If you wish to officially support the document
, you can do so by clicking here
. We also encourage educational stakeholders to launch a debate
on the future of learning at national level and encourage their candidates to do so by using our Manifesto. Thank you very much in advance for your commitment.
We remain available if you wish more information about our Manifesto and/or to organise a meeting.
The European Civil Society Platform on Lifelong Learning (EUCIS-LLL) is an umbrella organisation that gathers 33 European organisations active in the field of education and training, coming from all EU Member States and beyond. Currently these networks represent more than 45 000 educational institutions (schools, universities, adult education and youth centres, etc.) or associations (involving students, teachers and trainers, parents, HRD professionals, etc.) covering all sectors of formal, non-formal and informal learning. Their members reach out to several millions of beneficiaries. www.eucis-lll.eu
