UPCOMING PROVIDER WORKSHOPS

Keen to know how to better manage challenging behaviours?

If so, why not register for one of the five free* workshops Inclusive NZ is hosting.

These interactive one-day workshops will be hosted by Clinical Psychologist Dr Olive Webb who is a seasoned professional in this area. Topics covered during these one-day interactive workshops include:

  • understanding what can trigger challenging behaviours
  • touching on strategies that can help avoid and manage such behaviours,
  • looking at some of the risks involved for people supporting those exhibiting such behaviours.

Workshops will be held in Christchurch, Auckland, Wellington, Hamilton and Dunedin in late March - early April.

For more information and to register please visit: .http://www.inclusive.nz/registrations-open-for-provider-workshops/

*Registration is free to staff members of organisations contracted by the Ministry of Social Development National Office to provide employment, participation and inclusion services for people with disabilities.

Given that these free* interactive workshops were so popular last year, we thought an encore performance was in order.  We are happy that Progress to Health and Interactionz will be facilitating these workshops once again. Participants will have the opportunity to:
  • learn transferable skills and new tools that will help you in the workplace in beyond
  • understand the difference between facilitating support and providing support.
  • share your experience and reflect on your own practice
  • interact with the facilitators whose organisations have a long history of working alongside people to get the best outcomes.
Workshops will be held in Whanganui, Napier, Whangarei, Invercargill and Nelson throughout the month of May.

For more information and to register download the Workshop Flyer.

*Registration is free to staff members of organisations contracted by the Ministry of Social Development National Office to provide employment, participation and inclusion services for people with disabilities.
