Sweet renewal and refreshment
Our new sweet fuzzy, baby boy, cold ice clinking in glasses, soft carpet in-between bare toes, unlimited precious time spent with family-grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins, rekindled golden friendships and new unexpected glorious ones-these have been a few of our favorite things here during our stateside time in America.
The Lord has kept His promise true of Matthew 11:28-we came to the U.S. weary and heavy burdened and the Lord has truly, completely, and wholly given us rest AND renewal. We praise God that we have made unforgettable memories here with our family and friends. Yet the girls' wish to return to their home (as they asked every week multiple times) is finally coming true. Africa has a way of never leaving you the same-once you go, the beautiful, perseverant people have a way of intertwining with your soul and leaving you with a heartsick ache. It is with great excitement that we return to Africa! We truly are ready yet desperately need your prayers.
Here are a few specific requests until our next update:
*Extra strength, grace and peace for us and our extended families as we say goodbye and leave them behind for a while
*Safe travels and favor of the government officials on the long flights and roads
*Transitions: from one country to another and the many details involved with the cultural AND climate changes!
*That we would keep our eyes on Jesus, our Immanuel, that we would truly seek His Holy Spirit in every decision we make
*Our team in Kaabong, Uganda working with the Karamajong people-we will be supporting them for the next few months
*Storying Together Project (Kaabong, Uganda): see our Facebook page at Jeremiadoss-Africa for more details
Grace and Peace,
Selvin, Laurel, Abigail, Daniella, and Luke
