DPT Applicant Interviews

November 2017

The Fall Interview included 30 applicants from Hawaii to Maine. Interviewers included community Physical Therapists, current DPT students, as well as members of the Trine DPT department. Thank you for making this another successful year of identifying the best applicants to join our 5th cohort of students starting in August of 2018.

Spotlight on DPT Faculty

Director of Clinical Education, Assistant Professor, Tricia Widenhoefer, PT, MS, CBIS

Since joining our faculty a year ago, Professor Widenhoefer added work on her transitional Doctorate of Physical Therapy to her already busy schedule. She recently presented Community Approach to Interprofessional Education Transitioning to Interprofessional Practice at the 94th Annual American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM) conference in Atlanta, Georgia. It is the largest interdisciplinary conference in the world for rehabilitation research. Tricia is pictured with fellow presenters, Beth Bright, Professor at Huntington University and Meredith Yochim, Instructor at University of Saint Francis PA Program. Tricia's professional interests include Interprofessional Education, Health and Wellness, and of course, Clinical Education. "I love to help students navigate the daily challenges of PT school, while witnessing their enthusiasm for learning!"

Celebrate Movember!

Mustache Monday

Movember is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and suicide. The Movember Foundation sponsors an annual charity event. By encouraging men to get involved, Movember aims to increase early cancer detection, diagnosis and effective treatments, and ultimately reduce the number of preventable deaths.

It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.
