Dear colleague

2016/17 Full time course applications

Following the closure of applications to full time courses on Friday 29 April, we are now in the process of re-opening our August 2016 provision.

Please see here for a list of full time courses with places still available. We will continue to review applications and add further courses which have places available on an on-going basis.

New courses launched for application

We are pleased to be able to offer four new entry level courses to our course portfolio:
 These courses will start in August 2016, please share information with your pupils.
Our Tourism & Hospitality centre is inviting you to explore our courses and facilities at our Tourism & Hospitality Open Day.
 
Subject areas include:
See first-hand our kitchens, restaurants, salons, classrooms, training aircraft and other college facilities while getting the chance to speak to staff and students about the range of courses we offer.
  • Speak to staff and students to gain a full understanding of the opportunities available
  • Tour the campus facilities
  • See demonstrations from our students in our subject areas
  • Find out about our courses and choose the right one for you
This event is aimed at all pupils from S1 – S6 who want to find out more about the courses we offer and the opportunities these lead too.

From June 2016 we have a number of Foundation Apprenticeships (SCQF Level 6) places still available and will remain open throughout April and May. Foundation Apprenticeships enable pupils in S4 to S6 to complete elements of a Modern Apprenticeship while still at school. 

A member of staff will be in touch with Guidance Teachers to arrange a meeting to provide further information on Foundation Apprenticeship opportunities.

College attendance
2 half days per week: Tuesday and Thursday

Location
The delivery location of each of the programmes is still to be confirmed. Please note there will be funding to support travel to campuses where required.

To apply for Foundation Apprenticeship programmes, Guidance Teachers should complete an application form and submit to Anne.Ferrier@edinburghcollege.ac.uk
