President's Message

This time of year is a busy time for the Chapter as we are now starting up elections. If you are a Chapter member in good standing you will have recently received an email with all the details. I encourage all members to consider how they can contribute to the continued success of the chapter by nominating for the available board positions. I'm also happy to have a chat with anyone considering putting themselves forward.

We have just had a great event sponsored by ExperiencePoint and we have a webinar coming up in April. How many of you will be joining me at ProjectWorld in May? ACMP has a discounted registration rate for this, see below.

Of course we have Change Management 2016 in Texas for the annual ACMP conference. The chapter has a special offer to attend this too. I hope we can connect our local attendees at this conference. Will you be there?

We are always looking for volunteers to help with committees. Are you able to help with our website? Can you help arrange amazing events? Would you help out at a Chapter conference booth? Do get in touch if you want to volunteer.

Spring is said to arrive like a lion and leave like a lamb. Let's hope the lion leaves early! Stay well and see you soon!

March 23, 2016 Event Recap
ACMP Toronto was hosted by ExperiencePoint at their downtown Toronto offices on March 23.  We had an information packed presentation from Sheila Bowness on addressing culture change by creating a 'movement', sharing her experience through a narrative of a successful public sector case study.  With approximately 30 people at the event, many great conversations were generated from the topic around innovation, fear of failing and the use of social influence to drive culture change.  The discussions expanded the knowledge and insights around the room -- and Sheila even left the group with a thorough list of book recommendations!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the discussions throughout the evening.  Thank you to ExperiencePoint for sponsoring the event and being such a gracious host.  And, congratulations to our two lucky winners who will be joining ExperiencePoint for one of their upcoming workshops.

Next Event: April 21, 2016 Webinar
Change Management and D&I Culture

Engaging and enabling a diverse workforce is at the heart of strengthening your organizational culture to achieve business outcomes. This is a key component of change management practices, and often one of the greatest challenges.  The ACMP Toronto Chapter, in partnership with Global Knowledge, is pleased to welcome Dipal Damani, Principal Consultant with D&D Inclusion Consulting, to share her knowledge on applying quality change management practices to support diversity and inclusion initiatives in organizations.

In this 30 minute webinar Dipal will speak to how organizations can embed diversity and inclusion in their practice by using the principles of change management.  Drawing on various models to implement diversity and inclusion initiatives no matter what stage organizations are at, be it just starting the conversation or getting buy-in from key stakeholders, developing a strategy or sustaining initiatives.

Join this discussion with Dipal as we continue to share best practices in change management.
