My recent solo exhibition, "Tim McFarlane: New Paintings" in the Fountain Restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel-Philadelphia ended its six-month run at the end of January. I'd like to thank the Bridgette Mayer Gallery, Jim Miller and the great crew at the Four Seasons for helping to make this a successful show!

A bit of history...
"Untiltled (still life)", 1984, oil on panel, 10 x 7 inches

This is my first completed oil painting, done while I was a high school senior in the spring of 1984. It was in high school that I first began thinking seriously about being a painter. This painting grew out of my having recently learned about still life painting and Impressionism from Mr. Richard Segal, my art teacher at the time.

That's it for now. As always, thank you for your continued support and feel free to pass this newsletter along to friends and/or colleagues. Until next time...

Best,
Tim
