Theatre Branch...
We’re starting 2020 with a comedy, SHIRLEY VALENTINE. Shirley’s a middle aged housewife, who finds herself talking to the wall while she prepares her husband's chip'n'egg, wondering what happened to her life. She compares scenes in her current life with what she used to be like and feels she's stagnated and in a rut. But when her best friend wins an all-expenses-paid vacation to Greece for two, Shirley begins to see the world, and herself, in a different light.
Directed by Steve Grumette and starring Anna Kotula. Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Sunday 2 p.m. For tickets please go to Ojaiact.org or call 805-640-8797. Runs through February 16.

Art Branch...
We have four talented artists exhibiting in February. The Main Gallery will feature the large, colorful abstract paintings of Otis Bradley. Bradley has been a custom home designer for over 30 years and now carries his passion for design into painting. (Pictured above top is "Should I Go or Should I Stay" by Otis Bradley.)
Mark Tovar is a self taught contemporary artist working in a variety of mediums. He creates interesting images on canvas and glass -portraits, figures, faces - narratives unfolding between spiritual energy, emotions, colors and light. (Pictured above, bottom left.)
Shahastra Levy continues her jewelry design work, an eclectic blend of sterling, semi-precious gems and mixed metals. Recently, she has incorporated repurposed elements as well as vintage components alongside her signature crystal designs. Perfect for Valentines month. (Pictured above, bottom right.)
Doris Nichols will show 2 and 3 dimensional work in the Beato Showcase. Reception for all artists is Saturday, February 8, 4-6 p.m.
THE GREAT ART THEFT is a popular annual event which raises funds for special projects. Our goal is to fill the gallery and showcases with beautiful art from local artists and to offer this art at a reasonable price. Something everyone can afford. We depend on the generosity of our artist friends and are asking once again for donations of 2 and 3 dimensional work. The Great Art Theft is May 3 and we will be receiving art starting March 24. It will go on display April 4. For more information call 805 646-0117.
