Gratia Plena Not Yet Moving
We began looking for new office space in November.  After signing the lease but before moving in, the new landlord began to reveal surprises that he failed to include in the contract.  We quickly voided the contract and exited from that arrangement.  In April we found a new building and were negotiating the lease contract for nearly six weeks.  Unfortunately, the deal fell through just a few hours before we were going to move in.  So for now we remain in the 3 Sugar Creek Center building.  We are patient with this process and trust that God has a place in mind for us.  Thankfully, Mr. Armando Valdes of Tu Casa Realty is helping us continue the search for a larger and more suitable office near our current location.

New Overeaters Anonymous Group/Meeting
A group of women are forming a new OA chapter in the Rosenberg/Wharton area.  If you are interested, let Dr. Ken know and he’ll get you in touch with them.  They are in the early planning stages.  The 12-Step approach is a spiritual program of recovery.

Happy Father’s Day
We wish all fathers and father figures a special blessing on this Father’s Day.  We also pray for fathers who have died.  According to census figures, about one third of the children in the US do not live with their biological fathers today.  Come on men, we need to do better than that.  Sex before marriage is a big part of this problem.  Having a strong and healthy marriage is one of the best things we can do for our children.  Enjoy this Father’s Day video, courtesy of Catholic Vote.

Porn in the Workplace?
The US Navy recently announced that they are removing porn from all naval and marine bases worldwide, and will no longer allow the sale of porn in their exchanges.  Porn in the workplace creates a hostile work environment and can lead to sexual harassment or worse.  Do you check your company’s computers for porn?  About 2/3 of US companies do, and they discipline or terminate those who violate company policy (when there is a policy in place).  If you are terminated for viewing porn at work, how would that look on your resume?  Taking this type of risk may indicate that your porn use is a serious problem.  Get help; you may not be able to quit on your own.

2012 Annual Report
We had been waiting for some important milestones before releasing our first annual report.  Our report is finally finished, and can be examined by following this link to our website.

Movie of the Month Recommendation:
This month we recommend the movie For Greater Glory.  As we prepare for another “Fortnight for Freedom” to pray for a solution to US government intrusions in religious freedom, we remember about 100 years ago the Cristeros in Mexico who fought against anti-Catholic provisions in the national government there.  Some of those who were involved in this fight in Mexico have been recognized as saints and martyrs.  This film stars Andy Garcia and includes Peter O’Toole, Ruben Blades, and Eva Longoria.  Some violent portions of this film may not be suitable for children.  ¡Viva Cristo Rey!  (Long live Christ the King!)  In next month’s newsletter, watch for our “Book of the Month” recommendation.
