NBPU TIS Update 17

12 August 2016

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)
for TIS Workshop

The M&E workshops have been happening over the last couple of weeks, with Steve Fisher and the Team doing some fantastic work with a few of the organisations so far.  As you may know, this workshop has an emphasis on building on existing skills and knowledge to enable evidence to be generated that aligns with the National Indicators. If you haven’t already been contacted by the NBPU staff, they will be in touch with your organisation to co-ordinate this workshop soon.

The TIS Portal is live!!!

If you haven’t heard the news, the online portal is live.  It is the ‘go to’ place for TIS workers to access the Tackling Indigenous Smoking Resource and Information Centre (TISRIC). Developed by NBPU TIS, the TISRIC contains up to date information on current best practice for tackling indigenous smoking, along with a comprehensive collection of videos and programs, and workforce information such as conferences, jobs, courses and other events. The social media platforms provide an opportunity for the TIS member workers to network and support each other.
The TIS portal is located on the Australian Indigenous Alcohol and Other Drugs Knowledge Centre (AIAODKC) web resource.  While it has been designed specifically for TIS workers, the main resources are free-to-access and can be used by anyone interested in or working in the area of smoking reduction.

To access the portal simply visit We encourage you to get familiar with the homepage of the portal, as that will be your ‘hub’ for accessing all of the resources and information provided, including the Tackling Indigenous Smoking Resource Information Centre (TISRIC).

We would love your feedback!
