Happy Friday! We can't believe it's already March, and that means it's almost time for our most ambitious undertaking yet, J.S. Bach's masterpiece Passion According to St. John! Tickets are now on sale here, with concerts on March 18th in Austin and March 19th in Fredericksburg.
If you have a spare bedroom and would be willing to host one of our friendly and quiet musician colleagues for three evenings (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday), drop us an email to let us know. We'd offer you a pair of free tickets to this program in return, and our heartfelt gratitude.
It's cliché, but our concerts aren't possible through the sale of tickets alone. We've been fortunate these past two or three seasons to have an anonymous patron who has helped us keep the lights on, but the smartest and most sustainable path forward is to grow and cultivate our donor base so more than one or two are doing the heavy lifting.
Do you love what we do and believe in our mission? Do you want to help us grow and ensure our future? You can help to further all of this by clicking here to donate via our secure online form. You'll join a growing group of contributors who are helping us to do our part to keep period-instrument baroque and classical music alive in our region! 80% of our budget goes toward paying our incredibly talented musicians, so there's no administrative fluff found here! Click here for some examples of the costs your contribution can cover! And, thank you to those who have already contributed!
We're also looking for board members! What does a board member do, you ask? Click here to read more, and drop us an email if you would like to volunteer.
We hope you'll join us for the St. John Passion. It'll be Austin's first period-instrument performance in a number of years of this incredibly beautiful and moving work, and we are so excited to share it with you all.
