Wow – it's already September! Where did the summer go?! We've spent the past few months keeping busy, making preparations for the upcoming season and putting the finishing touches on the music for our season opener that takes place in a few weeks.
We have an exciting and engaging seventh season planned for you! We'll start out later this month with Known Unknowns, a program of lesser-known music by well-known Baroque masters, and we'll follow that up next month with For All the Saints, our annual performance of Latin American early music. January will bring When Freddie Met Frankie, a peek into the musical world of Frederick the Great and his on-again/off-again relationship with the philosopher Voltaire, and we'll ring in the spring in March with String Break, a program featuring our phenomenal string band. Finally, we will close the season in May with Unknown Unknowns, a program made up of Classical-era music by composers you've almost certainly never heard of!
Season tickets are now on sale; simply click here to order them online, or you can make a purchase at the ticket table at the concert later this month. If you'd prefer individual concert tickets, click here for tickets to the September program. There are two presentations of the September program – one on the evening of Saturday the 23rd in Austin (7pm at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, map) and another the afternoon of Sunday the 24th in San Antonio (4:30pm at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower, map).
