Wow! It's spring already! If you can't tell from the warmer temperatures, you certainly can from all the pollen in the air!
Viva Vivaldi! is approaching fast! Our celebration of the Red Priest of Venice will take place next week, on Saturday, April 6 at 7pm in Austin (Redeemer Presbyterian Church, click for map) and Sunday, April 7 at 4pm in San Antonio (The Chapel of the Incarnate Word, click for map). For Austin tickets click here, for San Antonio tickets click here.
Think Vivaldi wrote the same concerto 500 times? This program will prove otherwise! There will be opera arias, concertos you've heard of, concertos you've never heard of, and a sinfonia with such crunchy harmony that it would make JS Bach blush!
Thanks are in order for those who contributed to our Amplify Austin campaign earlier this month! We brought in $560. While that might not seem like much, that amount will cover the two flights needed to bring our principal bassoonist and new principal clarinetist to Austin for our June concert. Small donations add up and when combined, we are able to fund one line item at a time in our annual budget. This is the smartest way to grow, rather than relying on a smaller number of large donations. If you want to help us retire another line item or two in our budget, click here or ask at the ticket table next week.
We hope to see you all soon for Viva Vivaldi!, and thank you so much for your continued love and support!
