Happy 2017! We hope you're enjoying a great year so far! We've been busy preparing for Friends & Family, our upcoming program of Classical-era music by composers who were friends or relations, and we're really excited to share this music with you! Tickets are now on sale here.

We hope you will join us for this program including works by Mozart and his dad, Haydn and his bratty little brother Michael, the youngest of the Bach sons, and Mozart's nemesis Antonio Salieri.

Concerts will be in Austin at First English Lutheran Church on Saturday the 28th, and in San Antonio at the UTSA Department of Music Recital Hall on Sunday the 29th. The Sunday performance will be free of charge thanks to the generous underwriting of the University of Texas at San Antonio's Department of Music.

An appeal for hospitality: We have more musicians than usual who are coming from out of town for this program, and we still could use help in housing a couple of them. If you have a spare bedroom and would be willing to allow one of our friendly and quiet musician friends to stay in your home for three evenings (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday), drop us an email to let us know. We'd offer you a pair of free tickets to this program in return, and our eternal gratitude.

Finally, if you missed our November program, Native Tongues, it will be broadcast by our friends at KMFA as their "Listen Local" program for January. Tune in this upcoming Sunday afternoon at 1pm. Not in Austin? No problem - you can listen online via KMFA's website.

We hope you'll join us for this program, the St. John Passion in March, and into the future! Speaking of the future, stay tuned for our 2017-18 season announcement, coming in early February!

Musically yours,

Billy Traylor, Artistic Director
Stephanie Raby, Concertmaster
Stephen Falk, Secretary-Treasurer
