Message From the Founder
Dear Friends of 3 Bluebirds Farm,

Happy almost spring! We are eager to wake up the farm from its winter nap and welcome everyone back over the next few weeks for spring camp, community work days, and Take Flight Clubs.

This month marks the 11th anniversary of 3 Bluebirds Farm incorporating into a nonprofit organization! We are grateful to the many local organizations, corporations and individuals that faithfully support us through sponsorships, donations and volunteerism. Over the past decade, we have helped provide services to more than 500 individuals, including several non-human subjects ;-).

Some of the budget highlights so far this year -- We received a $1500 grant from Blythe Construction, a $1,000 grant from Sam's Club, a $5,000 grant through the Caterpillar Employee Matching Contributions Program, on behalf of one of our amazing and loyal supporters, and a $25,000 donation from another one of our amazing donors. Added to the revenue we raised at our 2022 Bluebird Ball, we are off to a pretty good start in raising funds for a new event structure to house our adult & teen day programs. That being said, while we don't like to talk about our overhead costs, it's important to understand how much it actually costs behind the scenes to keep 3BBF up and running. After paying our liability insurance, workers compensation insurance, directors & officers insurance, payroll for staff, animal care & vet expenses, continuing education classes, mortgage on a 28-acre property, utilities for those 28 acres, and many, many more everyday expenses, running a nonprofit organization -- while trying to raise extra funds to grow -- can be pretty tough and slow-going. So we ask that you please consider donating an amount to 3BBF that is meaningful to you, either through a general donation, on a monthly basis to The Nest, or sponsor one of our upcoming events. We promise we will put it to good use this year and for years to come as we grow. And if you love our work then tell the world! You have an opportunity to help us make even more of a difference in our community. Won't you help us raise visibility for our work by posting a review of your experience with us in the GreatNonprofits website? All reviews will be visible to potential donors and volunteers. It’s easy and only takes a couple minutes! Go to https://greatnonprofits.org/org/3-bluebirds-farm and "share your story." Also, please consider jumping on any opportunity that you see to nominate our organization or any of our staff members for awards... Visibility in the community is so important to help us grow.

On that note, I encourage you to come visit us at the farm and be inspired. And make sure to read below about all that we have going on over the next several months... We are busy! Please join us and participate in the many varied opportunities to support and connect with our community throughout the year.

Sincerely,

There's a New Donkey in Town!
3 Bluebirds Farm invited a new member into its family in February and her name is PEARL. We a adopted her from our new amazing friends, Deb Stanton & Anni Saludo (pictured right), owners of Rockabilly Farm. We couldn't love Pearl more if we tried! She is the sweetest, most social donkey you'll ever meet, so come on by the farm and meet her, she will more than likely greet you with a big loud "Braaaaay!"
Help us Welcome our 3 New Board Members!
Nicole Connell is the SVP Business Development Officer at First Bank. Nicole has been a longtime supporter of 3 Bluebirds Farm and we are so excited that she has officially joined our team. Also -- thanks to Nicole -- First Bank & Blue Faces Juice donated over 700 bottles of water to 3BBF, which we will be able to use for so many projects, like events and farm work days.
Kristen Feldman
Also a longtime 3 Bluebirds Farm supporter, Kristen Feldman is the Vice President of Medical Affairs at Afaxys, Inc. and a Gynecologist with Carolina Gynecology. We are delighted that she has joined our Bluebird family.
Jenny Wieboldt is the Account Manager at Kymanox, who has been one of our biggest corporate sponsors ever. We couldn't be more thrilled to have Jenny officially join our team with her energetic love for 3BBF.
You can read more about the rest of the 3BBF team HERE.
The BFFA Needs Your Help!

The officers of the Bluebird Family & Friends Association (BFFA) have been hard at work helping 3 Bluebirds Farm and planning events for the year, however we need participants and members to make more of an impact and a difference for 3 Bluebirds Farm! What is the BFFA you ask?

The BFFA is for all individuals that care for and about the participants involved in any 3 Bluebirds Farm activity. Whether you are a parent, caretaker, or friend of one of our clients, you are eligible to join us in a setting with those that understand. We give the opportunity to gather, converse and make connections. By joining the BFFA you will be able to lend your time and skills to raise funds and awareness for the opportunities and events that 3 Bluebirds Farm provides, as well as the ones we strive to provide in the future. This is also a space to engage in fun activities with others. It's kind of like the PTA for 3 Bluebirds Farm, except all are welcome!

Our Hens Are Laying Again - Get Your Eggs Now!
If you stand on your tippy-toes, you can almost see spring, which means our hens are feeling the warmth and beginning to lay again, so subscriptions are open again! We appreciate your understanding during our off-season.

Our 40 hens and turkey (protected by our 7 roosters, 2 livestock guardian dogs, and a donkey!) have become famous for laying BEAUTIFUL (and tasty!) eggs. We feed our hens an all-organic diet, rich with Omega-3s, and a variety of organic fruits and vegetables every day, which produces delicious eggs. Since we have several breeds of lovely hens, they lay multiple colors of beautiful eggs, from our signature color blue, to brown, to green, to pink! And if you choose the 3 Bluebirds Farm Subscription service, you never have to worry about supplies running low because we reserve your weekly order for you! Sign up for 1-3 dozen eggs per week, choose your weekly pick up day, and auto-pay up front each month. You can cancel at any time.

Eggs are $8 per dozen, paid on an automatic monthly basis. Please make sure to click on "Show my support by making this a recurring donation" as you will be automatically billed each month. Supplies are limited, so act now!

The Nest
3 Bluebirds Farm introduced our monthly giving program, The Nest in April of last year, and we're excited to say that our nest is slowly but surely growing! Thanks to generous individuals like you, we have already raised over $2,000 of consistent monthly funding (that's over $24,000 a year)! This enables us at 3 Bluebirds Farm to be able to count on certain revenue each month and therefore continue to expand services for children and adults with autism. However, this campaign has HUGE room for growth. If you haven't "joined the flock" yet, please consider helping to make a difference in our community. Read more below to see how different levels provide the possibility to impact us in different ways. YOU can help us to empower families impacted by autism to spread their wings. Because even the biggest nests are built branch by branch. Thank you.

• General Donations

Please consider donating an amount that is meaningful to you to 3BBF. We promise we will put it to good use. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax exempt organization, so your gift may qualify as a charitable deduction for federal income tax purposes. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us!
