Dear Friends of Catholic Charities of Central Florida,
During the Advent Season we wait for the Lord's coming with hope. It is a hope that urges us to be kind, loving and compassionate toward one another. It is a hope that encourages our faith in a merciful God who continues to pour His grace upon us.
At Catholic Charities, we bring this hope to people each day - people like the Acker family. The dad has been facing an injury and the mom an illness which has prevented them from working full-time and now their 18 month old has been diagnosed with cancer. We are helping them to have a memorable Christmas (see story below).
But we don’t do this alone! You have inspired us with your big hearts. There are so many individuals, parishes, schools, agencies and businesses that partner with us to bring hope to people who are facing the darkest days of their lives. Thanks to you - they are not alone.
Advent blessings to you and your family!

What looked like any other Christmas celebration is especially meaningful to this young family because of Raylan’s recent terminal diagnosis... Click here to read more.
Helpful Hearts in our Community
We hosted a party for our recently arrived refugees who will be celebrating their first Christmas in the U.S. They fled violence, poverty and fear and now they have hope for a better life. Thank you to all who helped with this event especially Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Foundation of Central Florida!
