A NEW CAR FOR SARA
You may remember this couple who married during COVID 2020, their wedding was postponed three times as Sara tried to get to Albania from the USA. Sara is the daughter of Albanian emigrants to America, they were from Korca. She had come two summers ago to visit her grandma, and heard that her church was doing an outreach in Sheqeras, she applied to join them, and ended up spending the rest of the summer working in Sheqeras, and getting to know Sokol, who is the Albanian leader there (and is doing a fantastic job of developing this church plant). Well, to make a long story short, they fell in love and wanted to work together in the village.
Sara, being a new believer, is growing in the Lord as she is helping other young girls in Sheqeras grow. She helps with the children's program, and leads a young girls group which has grown to 19. She gives her whole heart to these kids. She is struggling raising support, which is a whole new arena for her, she has always worked hard to pay her bills at home and had several jobs and her own candle business. She has some ideas to try here, and we have found her a part time job up at Vila Kenedi, doing activities with the seniors, several days a week. To do this, she needs a car to get back and forth from the village, as you can wait hours for transport and spend alot in taxi fares. We have found an affordable vehicle for her to use, and it will help them also in their ministry, as they are often bringing people to church and doing activities in Korca with the youth.
We were wondering if any of you would like to help support this very special couple by donating toward this car fund.
The car costs about $2,500, and will also have running costs. Any donation given to the OAC General Fund, marked "Car for Sara" will go toward this Fund. They are also mentioned on the drop down menu, if you would like to support their ministry in Sheqeras.
We hope that they will be able to build a life here, as they are doing a wonderful job in this village. Please pray for them as they seek God and guidance for their future.
Building His Kingdom in this Generation,
Ian and Caralee Loring
