National IP Showdown  - First round of regional winners announced!

In just a few weeks, teams from six of the leading universities across South Africa will compete head to head in the country's first National IP Showdown. We wish to congratulate these winning students, who will be representing their universities on 1 December 2014 in Pretoria: 

Pholani Dladla  University of the Witwatersrand
Tshepo Tethea University of the Witwatersrand
Andre da Silva  University of Johannesburg
Luyanda Mhlanga University of Johannesburg
Coert Van Dyk University of Pretoria

Final year students from the University of Cape Town, University of Stellenbosch and University of Kwa-Zulu Natal are yet to present their projects at regional level.  SAICE wishes them everything of the best as they battle for first place and the chance to compete nationally.


Women in Engineering Symposium

The Way Forward…Beyond Challenges, Empowerment, Career Advancement, Sustainability, Leadership & Development.  The symposium is scheduled to place between 26-28 November 2014 at the Hilton Hotel, Sandton-Johannesburg.  This symposium has been put together to create a platform were Women in the Engineering sector can share knowledge, experiences, what worked for them, the best ways to motivate, inspire, lead and succeed in this industry. It will also be a unique opportunity to showcase the significant progress that women in Engineering have made building the profile and leading the way to evolution. It features female speakers from different backgrounds of engineering who will give their insights into how to make a mark in the engineering corporate world as a woman.
