Desiree's Gathering for Mother's Day at the Omega Institute

Bottom Photos-The program, the gift bags, the volunteer Mediums (Britta Grubin, Jake Samoyedny, Ana Reluzco, Colleen Smith), Judith Hancox, Colleen Smith in front of the Omega Institute, Restorative Yoga, Chris Lowe presents, Jill Scott and Cindy
From Colleen Smith, Austin's proud Mom: During the Mother’s Day weekend 20 shining light mothers were gifted with a weekend at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck NY. The event was the brainchild of and organized by Cindy Campbell, an HPH mother, and Omega Institute employee. Cindy wanted to honor her daughter Desiree and give back to other mothers on the grief journey. Our own Colleen Smith, a shining light mother and affiliate leader of the Leesburg Virginia chapter was invited to do a presentation on Signs From Loved Ones based upon her upcoming book and experiences with her son Austin. HPH Mom Chris Lowe presented a motivational opening talk and HPH Mom Caroline Chang created an uplifting video montage of the participating mothers and their children. HPH friend Judith Hancox educated the group on PTSD recovery and essential oils and their role in mental health. Mediums Jake Samoyedny, Britta Grubin, Colleen Smith, and Ana Reluzco provided free private readings to all the mothers. It was a beautiful weekend full of healing! The Omega Institute will be hosting the event again next year on the weekend of September 25th, 2020. More information will be available.
From Jenni Lyle, Ken and Doug's proud Mom: My sons in spirit, Ken and Doug, felt I needed a little more this mother's day. They sent me to Omega for a wonderful gathering of other moms. The evidence from my sons that I was supposed to be there became apparent early into the weekend. Cindy was the perfect hostess and I felt loved and nurtured in many ways. The moms present were amazing and each of us had something to give another. Trust is such a big thing to learn and being grateful for all things is another lesson. Friday night brought self-reflection for me in the restorative yoga session, so graciously given to each of us. Buttons with a picture of each of my sons to be cherished. Plenty of great food and the company of individuals with love exuding from them made it very easy to slip into the comfort of a beautiful place. Love abounded everywhere. Each speaker selected to talk with us had a divine appointment and they all delivered exactly what each of us needed. I think the highlight for most of us was our personal reading from whichever medium we chose. My reading was undeniably filled with evidence that Ken and Doug are always with me. They talked about the very real things that were happening in my life presently. They mentioned a plate full of perfect scallops, which my husband and I, along with Tony and Irene had enjoyed just 3 nights earlier with our friends Jan and Paul. They spoke of our new home and the changes we are making and even changes we are undecided about. Right down to a sticky door that irritated me. I was able to spend a lot of time with my sons as they were growing up and one of the things they commented about was how much they loved my cooking and they kept referencing my kitchen knives. I had moved my knives from one drawer to another on Thursday night and they knew it. I was taught by a very wise man to "just say yes" and I am a testimony to that way of living now.
We had a respite from everyday grief by being in a beautiful place with our "tribe". Thank you, Cindy Campbell and Desiree, for such a selfless gift. Thank you Omega for supporting Cindy on her journey and thank you, Desiree, for gathering all our children together for each of us to have an opportunity to feel them right there beside us. My hope is that each of us finds a way to make this journey more palatable. Take time for yourself whenever and wherever possible. All our children want from us is to believe and trust they are just a thought away. This journey is not easy and no one ever told me it would be and with the support, we have from each other and Helping Parents Heal and now Omega, we will make it until the day we meet our children again.
From Judith Hancox, Carly's proud Aunt: Being with our Helping Parents Heal Moms on Mother's day weekend at Omega in Rhinebeck, NY was a gift beyond words. Reminded me of all the spiritual retreats I've been on since young adulthood. The evidential mediums who freely gave of their time for all the moms & their children on the other side were particularly poignant and awe-inspiring! 100% connections validated. A spectacularly insightful, loving, joyful Platform Mediumship for over 20 moms happened on the last night. So glad my friends had such evidential connections with their children that made all of us laugh and cry. Huge Hugs to Cindy Cambell who put it all together for "Desiree's Gathering." I'm humbled to have been invited to give a workshop as part of the healing process that happened over the weekend. Great Source of all our souls was truly Present, with many magical gifts that "appeared" for everyone. Goose Bumps, Spirit Chills galore! My heart is overcome with love and gratitude. Thank you, Cindy, and all the Staff at Omega who made it happen!
From Cindy, Desiree's proud Mom: My favorite part of the whole weekend was when I was standing in the room of our brunch and everyone was laughing, eating and talking. I had the thought of look at us...a roomful of bereaved moms on Mothers day and we are having a good time!! It was an amazing feeling. I am happy and honored to be of service to any parent on this path. I’m looking forward to doing more! Thank you for all you do, HPH has been so helpful and healing for me. I am happy there are people like you in my world! -So much love, Cindy Campbell
Dr. Mark Pitstick and his book 'SoulProof'
Evolved Souls Don’t Need Long Earthly Lives
by Mark Pitstick, MA, DC
To all parents, I am very sorry about the physical death of your child. However, I am glad you are open to learning how to heal and transform. Six key understandings to making that shift are:
1. Your child is alive and well in another phase of forever.
2. Only his physical body died. Everything else continues eternally: all the love, light, energy, humor, personality, memory, energetic and subtle bodies, and much more. Really knowing this allows you to journey from seeing yourself as a bereaved to a shining light parent.
3. She is happy, peaceful, and enthusiastic – and wants you to be that way now.
4. You will see her when you pass on and can enjoy relationships with her now.
5. You can choose to transmute your grief into a spiritually transformative experience that powerfully improves your life and blesses others.
6. You can heal and increase the gifts from his life by lovingly serving others
Many parents have realized this great news and are living happy and fulfilling lives again. You can do the same. It’s not easy and doesn’t happen overnight, but it is possible with small steps day by day. Here are five action steps . . .
- Attend local and online Helping Parents Heal (HPH) meetings
- Call The Caring Listeners to talk at no charge.
- Read relevant Foundational Articles for Healing & Transforming on SoulProof.com and take action steps.
- Listen to my free Radio Shows and our answers to life’s toughest questions including why children die.
- Lean on others then later, when you are doing better, pay it forward.
Q: Another Mother’s Day, another painful reminder that my daughter is gone. How am I supposed to handle this year after year? - Tonda
A: Dear Tonda, I am very sorry for all the pain, sadness, and more you are understandably feeling. Anniversaries, holidays, and special days like Mother’s Day CAN BE horrible reminders. Or, they CAN BE incentives for you to find the highest way to handle this heart-breaking change. Here are just two examples of mothers who chose – for it is indeed a day to day choice – to find a better way than getting stuck in the pain. (By the way, no criticism at all to those who are stuck; if and when you heal and transform CAN BE affected by a number of factors: how long ago your child passed on, how he or she transitioned, your support system, etc.)
#1: Beth’s 17-year-old son and only child Tyler changed worlds by suicide four years ago. He experienced his first heartbreak after a relationship breakup. We all remember how strong the emotions and hormones are at that age. Unfortunately, at least from a limited earthly perspective, he made an impulsive decision to stop his pain.
Beth is on the SoulPhone Foundation team and we communicate regularly. I asked how her Mother’s Day went, expecting to hear how sad and difficult it was for her. Here is her answer that she gave permission to share. It is one of the most powerful examples of how bereaved parents can become shining light parents I’ve seen.
“I decided that I am going to live in a way that shows I am Tyler’s mom no matter where he is located
Parents struggle with how many children they have after having a child transitions. If you lose all your children, are you still a parent? I will always say I have a child. It is a huge struggle for parents about how to answer this question when asked. The first time it happens, it stabs you in the heart. It often leads to avoiding events with people who don’t know. It hurts to answer and they treat you like you have the plague when they find out.
Even though I have always said I have a child, I really didn’t believe it fully in my heart until this year. I think I finally opened up enough to feel him with me all the time. Fake it till you make it, right? I now talk to him, ask him questions, joke with him, and know he is there.
I don’t care if you say how Tyler transitioned. I want people to understand that normal, healthy, beautiful, and intelligent kids sometimes die by suicide. Greater awareness is necessary for better preventing this.”
Wow! Beth was my hero before, but now she is REALLY MY HERO.
Below is another example from a mother on the other side of the world about how things can change over time. (I haven’t received her permission to share this story so I will call her Eva. The dates show when I received her emails.)
March 9, 2018 “I am a grieving mother who ten months ago lost a son of 27 years of age. I stumbled upon you in my search for many sorrowful and unanswered questions about life in the hereafter. I want to know if my son is happy where he is after leaving us with so much pain.”
(I sent her the information listed at the top about how to heal and transform.)
May 16, 2019 “I wish to thank you for your enlightenment and encouragement this past year after my son's passage. I now have a better understanding of the NOW and HEREAFTER, and it makes this long walk through grief much lighter. I look forward to more insights from you as I prepare to start a group for other bereaved parents here in my community in Nigeria. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!! Thank you for being a great friend already.”
Tonda, do you see the difference in their words and tone? Beth and Eva have – after much suffering, crying, and soul-searching – moved into the next phase of healing. Their new way of dealing with their loss will bless many people and thrill their sons who are now very much alive and well in another part of Life Eternal.
By the way, did you catch my wording about Tyler? “Unfortunately, at least from a limited earthly perspective, he made an impulsive decision . . .” It seems tragic to those of us on earth who are only seeing much less than 1% of reality. But who knows? Perhaps the potential for him passing this way was a gift of love that will help many more people than if he would have lived 100 years on earth.
That’s why the title of my article is ‘Evolved souls don’t need long earthly experiences.’ Maybe your daughter IS (not was) also an advanced soul who didn’t need a long in earth-school. She was here for just a while to brighten the world for many people, teach them, and touch them deeply. And now she is rooting for you to remember that she is right there and you will see each other again. In the meantime, you can also shine, teach, and touch others.
I hope and pray that, like Beth and Eva, you will increasingly awaken to this big view of life. Many caring people in Helping Parents Heal are there to help you.
University-based scientific research has definitively demonstrated that life continues after bodily death. How might this news change the way you live and treat yourself and others?

Nobody is Lost!
Recently, as I noticed that many parents refer to their transitioned children as lost. I saw the phrase over and over, and over; “I lost my daughter…,” “I lost my son…” My mind wondered where this usage began and when it became so mainstream. After reviewing some of my own writings, I was a bit dismayed that I did the same. Naturally, I looked up the definition of the word. In the Unabridged Edition of the Random House Dictionary of the English Language, the definition of lost is: “(adj.) 1. No longer possessed or retained: lost friends. 2. No longer to be found: lost articles”. Digging a little further in the Word document, a synonym for death is loss. What? This isn’t what happens at all. The use of the word and synonym presumes there is nothing after crossing over, which we know isn’t true. Nobody is lost!
Grieving the transition of a loved one is hard enough. The grieving process can be hell on earth without support from family, friends and those who know the path. Finding acceptable words to describe where our loved ones are is an even more difficult obstacle. Even with the support of the angels in our lives, our journey as a spiritual being having a human experience is daunting; however, perhaps the difficult process could be made less torturous if there was more education. I guess this is the part that grates me; why are we not properly prepared for this eventuality? Why aren’t we given a glimpse of the bigger picture, before we have to grapple with our loved one going home?
Although we have freedom of religion in the United States, Christianity is still the dominant religion. According to a Gallup news poll, 78% of all adults identify with the Christian faith. In the Bible, Jesus spoke about being eternal. However, just what does the word eternal mean? Searching in the same dictionary mentioned above, “adj. 1. Lasting forever; without beginning or end. 2. Perpetual; ceaseless; endless.” Christians (as well as other faiths) seem to understand we are eternal, but at the same time, there is a belief that one gets lost when they transition. How does one get lost when crossing the veil? How does one die or be lost, when we are eternal?
Having very limited exposure to organized religion up until after Quinton transitioned, I did not understand what being eternal even meant; it wasn’t even a concept that applied to my life – until it did. It was our son, Quinton, who blew my mind be showing me. Our son ‘died’, but he illustrates with his signs and visits that he isn’t dead at all; he is eternal. As I tried to understand more and discover why I didn’t already know being eternal was even possible, I began to read. Much to my surprise, I realized that being eternal is common knowledge, even for some who don’t identify as religious. In fact, I found this knowledge in books that were not about religion or Christianity.
One of the very first books that I read was given to me within a month of the accident; Many Lives, Many Masters written by Brian Weiss, M.D. In this, his first book, he wrote in the preface, “I distrusted anything that could not be proved by traditional scientific methods.” This was before he had a patient who was not helped with her anxiety, panic attacks and phobias in eighteen months. When he finally tried hypnosis, his patient finally recalled past-life memories that were at the root of her symptoms. His work with this patient resulted in a radical paradigm shift for him. He wanted to share his knowledge but he was afraid his career would be ruined. Finally, Brian Weiss published his findings. From this patient, he learned that we live more than one ‘life’, and that we, therefore, exist between lives. The simple and beautiful truth of his discovery is that it applies to everyone! But his discovery refutes the idea of being lost!
There are dozens, if not hundreds, of books that shout it from the mountaintops – There is no death, nobody is lost, and we are eternal! And moreover, we have our own personal experiences with the signs we receive from our loved ones. Dead people cannot send us signs and neither do the lost. Only the living can send us signs.
I will endeavor to no longer use the word ‘lost’ to describe a spirit that graduates to the other side, and I invite you to do the same.
I wish you all the best and feel free to contact me if you have questions. Dialogue is good. We are both teacher and student, each of us.
God Bless and Namaste, Ernie and Kristine, Quinton’s Dad and Mom

NEW GROUP! Helping Parents Heal - Shining Light Moms' Boxing
Samantha Cordi Ford
Samantha Cordi Ford will be giving a weekly, free boxing class for Shining Light Moms at Jabz studio in Phoenix, Sundays from 10:30 - 11:30 am! She will even provide a loaner glove. The class will be a mix of Fitness & Boxing style class. Samantha can play around with the structure of class based on the participants attending.
I have been working with women in the boxing-fitness industry since 2013. When I opened up my Jabz studio, I enjoyed being physically active and I loved how moving my body made my mental and emotional state of being. Then I became a Shining Light parent on 8/5/16 when my youngest son Michael transitioned. Jabz was my saving grace as it forced me to have to move my body and on days when I didn’t work or workout, those days seem to be my harder dark ones. I moved through a lot of emotions in a safe and supportive environment.
Punching and moving my body allowed me to release emotions I was holding on to. Anger...pain...sadness. plus we all know that we feel as if we can’t breathe and we have an elephant standing on our chest and heart so it forced me to have to breathe and release some of that stored energy in my heart center. I’ve been wanting to do this for the last year but wasn’t quite there in my healing to take on this, but I feel stronger & ready and want to share my space with my new family.
Jabz Boxing is located at 32nd Street and Shea Blvd, 10880 N. 32nd Street, Phoenix, AZ 85028.

The parents of HPH - Tampa & HPH - Pinellas County
Our two local affiliates, Pinellas County and Tampa, got together at Peace Cottage and hosted a Mother's Day event for any mother who wished to attend with the intention of making sure all hearts were taken care of. Thank you, Laura Grimme McCullough, for the loving suggestion to expand this from a casual event in your home last year. Many thanks to Kevin and Diane, the two loving energy healers who gave their time to us, along with Margaret who donated the food - she herself a mum with two children "on the other side." And finally, to the amazing artist Qinghong Wei, who shared her considerable talent, allowing us to unleash some hidden feelings, emotions and insights through watercolor. All in all, a delightful, healing afternoon. Thank you to all who participated and shared your insights. We all benefit from the collective experience and wisdom.

Helping Parents Heal - Tampa
We had a wonderful meeting this week at the Tampa Affiliate with a really impressive demonstration of the trauma therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) by Loreen O'Brien. One of our parents courageously offered to be the demonstration subject and we watched ease flow over her between the beginning of the session and the end of it. Many of the attendees asked for further information and access to therapists who practice this modality in our area. You should be able to search nationally on these sites as well. Loreen kindly provided the following links.
The first (the site you see in the image below) is the site set up by the woman who developed ART. https://acceleratedresolutiontherapy.com/therapist-directo…/
This second link you will have to copy/paste and it is a directory that professionals pay to list their practice: https://www.is-art.org/directory/ ART is used with trauma and PTSD patients and is for anyone who is emotionally stuck replaying a particular situation over and over and not being able to move on.

Helping Parents Heal - Flagstaff
Janean Quigley and Suzanne Giesemann
Flagstaff HPH enjoyed a fantastic meeting with Suzanne Giesemann on Mother’s Day. We had 13 parents in attendance, many of whom weren’t familiar with her work. She gave her sweet background story and encouraged all that our kids are still right here! She brought through one kiddo in a group reading with up to date evidence that he is with his parents in the mundane everyday events- which had them laughing and crying with joy. I didn’t get a photo at the meeting- but Ty was sweet to snap this one of Suzanne and me on a hike later in the week. Having the Giesemann’s around is such a blessing. They are now on to California where their Messages of Hope continue to change so many lives.💖💖

Cathy Cheshire, Helping Parents Heal - Akron/Cleveland Tributes
We had a great meeting in May! Cathy Cheshire, our guest speaker who is a Shining Light Parent, Grief Author, Speaker & Teacher, talked to us about "Loving Our Minds" both Conscious and Subconscious as well as actions we can take to help with unconstructive thoughts and creating more positive thinking and mindfulness as we move through our grief process. We also had a Mother's Day acknowledgment ceremony for our Shining Light Mom's. Each candle holder with a mother's day sentiment represented mom and each tealight candle represented their child's name in Spirit. A poem, You Are My Garden by medium and spirit artist, Joseph Shiel was read. Each mom came up to the table lighting their child's candle and placed it inside the candle holder, representing their light shining through their mom and were presented a rose and given the opportunity to share a memory, sign or any comments. Reminding us that the mother/child relationship doesn't end... Nor does the father/child relationship end. They are still here in a different way and we honor them! We carry them forward, with us... Love never ends! I could feel their amazing energy with us in the room! Moms took the candles home with them at the end. I hope it was both a learning and a heartfelt meeting for all!

I Am Your Disease, by Sharon Sandler, Sharon's daughter, Samantha
Our group meeting today contained members who had all been together for a while... our conversation turned to how many lives have been needlessly trapped in the cycle of addiction. One mother, Sharon Sandler, was gracious enough to share her journey with her daughter, Samantha and a book that was a collaboration of many on the topic of addiction. I hope this benefits other groups. It has opened up many other topics for future discussion amongst our members. We are all learning and growing on our journeys.

A wonderful meeting in Cave Creek this month. Three new parents who very recently have had their child pass, so we had some tears but also some very healing words from those that have been on this journey. Lots of validations. We have so many warm and wonderful shining light parents and I am so blessed to have you all in our lives. As one mom was leaving she told me how comforted she felt. That’s why we all love and are all so grateful to Elizabeth Veney Boisson for starting this amazing group!

Helping Parents Heal - Phoenix/ScottsdaleMichelle Clare at our Phoenix/Scottsdale Meeting on !
Another wonderful meeting of Helping Parents Heal - Phoenix/Scottsdale with 44 parents and siblings and Evidential Medium Michelle Clare, a talented, compassionate presenter who told us her amazing journey with three near-death experiences, led us through a guided meditation with a Tibetan singing bowl and brought through validations from our children. Michelle then donated her portion of the Love Donation to our Conference Scholarship Fund. Thank you all for coming, and THANK YOU, Michelle! Our kids are Still Right Here! 💙💚

We will go a step beyond other groups by allowing the open discussion of spiritual experiences and evidence for the Afterlife in a non-dogmatic way. In other words, we will welcome everyone regardless of their religious (or non-religious) background and allow for a very open type of dialog. We receive all and do not judge people or their children on the basis of life choices. -Mark Ireland, Cofounder, Helping Parents Heal
