Happy New Year!
I was looking at the last newsletter I wrote and the title was, "there is

a chill in the air". Well, today in Nederland the high is supposed to be -5 degrees, so that title made me laugh. We tend to forget the really cold days until they come back.
What I won't forget is the incredible year we have had here at the Carousel. It started in May with the publication of an
article about Scott Harrison in
S
pirit Magazine (Southwest Air's inflight magazine), one of the most beautiful summers here in Nederland, an amazing National Carousel Day celebration, and then being named the #1 place to take kids by Denver's
Kids Out and About.
This last year the Carousel provided over 1,500 rides to seniors, after school and preschool programs, and people with disabilities of all ages. We gave back to the community with free ride days, hosted fundraisers for the Nederland Elementary School PTA, Rocky Mountain Wild, Nederland Food Pantry, and Miles and Nick, a couple of teenagers seriously hurt in a car accident.
If you haven't already donated, or are still making

end-of-year donations please consider supporting the Carousel of Happiness by using the
Colorado Gives Portal. It’s easy and any dollar amount brings a little more happiness to the world around us... (use the
link or mail checks to PO Box 1811, Nederland, CO 80466) IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING A YEAR-END DONATION SEE THE ARTICLE BELOW ABOUT THE CAROUSEL BOOK.
New Hours:
