Hello! I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself as the new Executive Director of Abukloi. In just a short period of time with Abukloi, I have gained much knowledge of Abukloi's mission and supportive friends have welcomed me with open arms. I am excited about the new position and the plans that God has in store for the Abukloi family.

I have a passion to serve and help those in need. My career path includes extensive history with non-profits, Social Services and partnering organization with a focus on Community Resources, Outreach, Senior Services, Homelessness, Counseling and Re-entry. I have been connected to the Williamsburg community for many years and have a desire to do more beyond the community by teaming up with Abukloi. I received my associates degree from Richard Bland of the College of William and Mary and went onto further my studies at Virginia Commonwealth University. I later received my Bachelors in Psychology from Liberty University.

We are excited to have Kimberly join and grow our Abukloi Family! If you wish to contact her she can be reached at

Abukloi! Not only Can we do it -- we ARE doing it!

Abukloi students are not just getting an education, but are having a positive transformation in the way they and their community approach societal challenges. We are at a critical point where we are reaching more people than ever-- but we can't grow to the next level without your support.

We started the year with a major milestone:  the graduation of our first class! Sixty students successfully completed exams and processed through town to celebrate with their community. Whether implementing business plans designed in their senior year, working at Abukloi School, or continuing their education, our students understand the value of their education and how they can use it to improve their lives. Sports promote teamwork, discipline, and respect for the competition. Donors sponsored the creation of uniforms for our school. They were inaugurated in a game between the students and teachers where teachers bested the students 4-2. The next match will be arranged during the next graduation of senior fours later this year.
Creating a better future goes beyond the classroom. Through Peace Clubs and community-wide debates, our students challenge long-standing discriminatory cultural practices and empower their families to engage in new practices for everyday living. Boys and girls have held leadership roles in state and UN-organized community events on universal education, suspending child marriage, enacting gun control, and inter-tribal cooperation.
