GVSU Telephone Outreach Program

For over 10 years Grand Valley has had a team of students employed through the Telephone Outreach Program (TOP) to serve as a connecting force between our alumni and the University today.  Each semester over 30 students call and connect with Lakers who have already graduated and build bridges between the generations.  Current Senior caller Kaitlin shares “When I look back at my wonderful experiences at Grand Valley I will remember connecting with alumni through TOP.  The best part of my job was hearing all the stories from their time here and their adventures since then.” For many this is more than an on-campus job, callers share that they value receiving advice and encouragement from alumni who have navigated life after graduation.
Next time you receive a call from our student callers we invite you to share a favorite GVSU memory, encourage the caller by sharing lessons you have learned since graduation or challenge the student to do something that you valued and appreciated during your time on campus.  We look forward to another successful semester of Lakers calling Lakers!  Thank you for taking our call!
