This Sunday brings a new chapter in the life of Good Shepherd. On Trinity Sunday, May 30, we return to a sense of normalcy: one Eucharist on Sundays at 10:00 am in the church and online. Capacity is limited to 60%, masking is encouraged (and required for congregational singing), and we will continue our efforts in physical distancing, but many things that are familiar return in our worship.
We will distribute Communion wine in individual chalices, so please continue bringing a chalice or cup with you.
We are grateful for all those who have attended and supported services in the past weeks and months: altar guild, ushers, lectors, musicians, and those who have set up and cleaned up after each service.
On Sunday, June 16, Good Shepherd welcomes Deacon Judson Fredie to preach and assist in worship. After retiring as a Senior Executive at Staples, he embarked on a new journey of ministry with the homeless and marginalized. Deacon Fredie was ordained in 2012 by the Rt. Rev'd Tom Shaw. (Pictured above at his ordination, he is to the right of Bishop Shaw.) Deacon Fredie is married, the proud father of two daughters and five grandchildren. Presently he serves as the deacon at All Saints, Ashmont.
