Blender’s Notes: In the mood for love? Wild-harvested Muira Puama– the precious inner bark of a Brazilian riverside tree– has been historically used as a potent aphrodisiac. This is a Cinnamon-"y" and very earth-"y" tea, a lovely choice reported by many to be "very relaxing" and a “mind calmer”. We hope it makes you feel “in the mood” for love, or relaxation, or whatever you desire most. Naturally caffeine-free.

Botanical Information on In the Mood's Ingredients:

Organic Partridge Berry- an excellent uterine tonic herb for female fertility. It is believed that this herb contains beneficial chemical compounds, such as saponins, tannins and  glycosides and partridgeberry is commonly believed to have a tonic or stimulating action on the ovaries as well as the uterus.

Organic Rose Hips- develop on wild roses as the flowers drop off. The rose hip, also called the rose haw, is actually the fruit of the rose. These fruits are one of the most concentrated sources of vitamin C available.  Rose hips also have vitamins A, D, E, flavonoids, lycopene, iron. In addition, the various flavonoids in rose hips have potent antioxidant action.

Organic Passion Flower- P. incarnata has many common names, including purple passionflower and maypop. Early studies suggest it might help relieve insomnia and anxiety. It appears to boost the level of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in your brain. This compound lowers brain activity, which may help you relax and sleep better.

Organic Cinnamon-Chinese medicine and Ayurveda have long revered cinnamon for its near superpowers, using it to treat things such as colds, indigestion and cramps, not to mention for its anti-clotting properties as well as attributes for cognitive function and memory. These societies also believed cinnamon could improve energy, vitality and circulation. We use both Vietnamese and Ceylon Cinnamon in this blend.

Organic Ginger- The root or stem (known as the rhizome) is packed with phenolic compounds that helps improve digestion. High levels of antioxidants (gingerol, curcumin and zingerone) improve memory, attention and cognitive function.

Organic Damiana- has been used in Mexico and southward to Central and South America since the times of the ancient Aztec, and is still quite popular today. Although its effect on sexual desire was its primary use across cultures, it it is also valued as a nerve relaxant, digestive stimulant, mood enhancer, and simply a tasty beverage that was given to children before nap time or bedtime to help them settle down.

Organic Roses- has been valued for its beauty and its perfume for thousands of years as well as its high vitamin C content. Rose tea contains a large amount of polyphenols along with several other antioxidants like quercetin and ellagic acid.  In addition to its variety of physical health benefits, rose tea can be used to calm the mind and elevate your mood. It has been noted that the Rose has the same vibrational frequency of unconditional love.

Wild Harvested Muira Puama- the precious inner bark of a Brazilian riverside tree– has been historically used as a potent aphrodisiac.
