For immediate release:
Invisible Zeppelin: a podcast sitcom for hero lovers
The Star Sentries are a team of the world's most powerful superhuman, and when you need them, when you put out the call for action, who takes the call? Mabel and Bruce, the very unsuper humans who answers the phone for the team. Working from a mysterious office floating over the globe, they field calls from desperate people, deranged villains, and offbeat heroes, on the new podcast sitcom Invisible Zeppelin
Created by comic book writer, publisher, and two-time Eisner nominee Nat Gertler, Invisible Zeppelin
focuses on the struggle that new hire Mabel and her mentor Bruce have dealing with the strange circumstances and stranger people their job brings them. "This was a concept I'd been kicking around for a while," says Gertler, "that became perfect to produce during lockdown. The characters aboard the zeppelin are all played by the people from my household, such as daughter Ally as Mabel or myself as Bruce. All the people calling in by phone, whether it be heroes like the not-too-bright Strongman and Julie Goldstein, Mystic Mistress of Krav Maga, or villains like the Truthbomber, or folks calling for a historic rescue, are played by actors over the phone."
is the second podcast from About Comics. The previous one, The AAUGH Blog Podcast
, had 60 episodes aimed at fans of the comic strip "Peanuts."
The weekly sitcom, with episodes running from 10 to 20 minutes, is available on major podcast platforms including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Anchor, Overcast, and more, or can be listened to at www.InvisibleZeppelin.com
