Blind Creek Beach Official Nude Beach
On Tuesday, June 2, the St. Lucie County Commission in Florida approved Blind Creek Beach as a Clothing Optional Beach. This approval would allow various improvements to the beach such as restrooms and a paved parking lot. This beach has been used as a nude beach for 20 years. Treasure Coast Naturists has been working for this recognition for the last six years. This recognition will create a welcoming tourist site for the county. 10 day Skin to the Wind Festival and AANR-NW Convention
by Margie Cantlon
Sun Meadow Resort will host the AANR-NW convention this year (we hope) and it happens right after our own Skin to the Wind Festival of Fun, so we’re making a 10-day event of it, with lots of live entertainment. We’ll begin on July 10 with a concert featuring Kray Van Kirk, and finish up on July 19.
Unfortunately, we’ve had one artist cancel, and we will wait and see on the others, and on whether or not AANR-NW decides to cancel the convention. This will depend on the various governors in the states of the Northwest region.
We’re planning live entertainment almost every day, plus workshops, wine & paint party, women in nude recreation meeting, games, yoga, massage, aquacise, pickleball, volleyball, Bocce, Shuffleboard, horseshoes, cardboard box regatta, and more. We’re planning hot breakfast, snack bar lunch, potluck patio party, and sit down dinner every day.
Here is the entertainment schedule so far. After Kray van Kirk, we’ll follow with Five Letter Word on July 11. On the 12th, Crazy Love, a duo featuring Bruce Michael Miller. July 13 we will present a fun country band called Band of Drifters. July 14 is open right now, so we’re planning cowboy TV and s’mores. On the 15th, a jam, so bring your instruments and voices. On July 16, a DJ dance. The concert on the 17th, Blaze and Kelly, is the one that canceled. The 18th will bring a duo that is new to us, but familiar to Tiger Mountain, where they come highly recommended. They are called Champagne Sunday. We’re optimistic that the event will be held!
See the convention poster in the May NudeScene, available on www.aanr-nw.org, for more information.
AANR Election Seasonby Karen Lahey
In the May AANR Bulletin, you got information about how to cast your AANR ballot. You will also have gotten information via email in the last few weeks. To be eligible to vote, you must have been an AANR member on March 15th of this year.
In the Northwest, there is only one contested contest. It is for President of AANR. There are also six ballot proposals to consider. With the information about how to vote, you will also receive the voter's guide. This guide will describe the candidates, as well as the ballot proposals. It is important information. If you still have questions, as your AANR trustee, I am available for questions at email@example.com.
Two years ago, the Northwest had the largest turnout of all of the regions for the election, just over 10%. While that is in keeping with other membership organizations, we can do better. This year, let’s redouble our efforts and make a difference.
But, please take the time to vote. It will be as simple as logging into the voting site and pushing a few buttons. Easy to do. Worth the effort. Please do it now while you are thinking about it.

New to GoToMeeting? Get the app now and be ready when your first meeting starts:
There are two ways to use GOTOMeeting.
- The fullest way to participate is to use your computer, tablet or smartphone. To do this, visit
and follow the instructions. You should try this sometime during the week, to make sure you’re set. If you reach “Waiting for Karen Lahey”, you succeeded. Ignore any login or “start your free trial” buttons, because those only apply to the meeting organizer. This will also be easier the second time, because there will be some set up steps that are skipped. If you have any problems, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org
- The other way to participate is to use your phone and call +1 (646) 749-3117 with the Access Code: 872-794-229 . If you call in from your phone, you will be able to hear everything, but you won’t be able to see anyone else.
During the party, please mute when you are not talking. (Click the little microphone or mute your phone). That will help cut down on background noise.
Don’t Forget to Smile at the AANR Educational Foundation
During the last months, many of us are doing even more shopping at Amazon than normal. When you shop at amazon.com, you can donate to the AANR Education Foundation and it won’t cost you anything. Amazon’s smile program allows you to select a charity and 0.5% of the purchase price for most Amazon items will be donated to your cause. Search for and select AANR Education Foundation and from then on, you go to smile.amazon.com to do your shopping. If you have already placed some items into your Amazon shopping cart, you can always switch to smile.amazon.com and your items will still be in your cart.
The AANR Education Foundation’s objectives are to:
Seek partnerships with individuals, groups and organizations in support of the creation of art, literature, and scholarship, relating to the nudist world, its practices, and the wholesome nature of the human body.
Endeavor to develop educated persons and leaders in broad areas of society; and aim to improve people’s lives by developing community support for nudist resorts, clubs, groups and areas.
You are always encouraged to donate to the AANR Education Foundation (http://www.aanref.com/). But here is a way to get Amazon to do it for you.
There is still time to apply for a scholarship or a grant from the AANR Education Foundation. The deadline has been extended until June 30th. You can see the requirements and download applications at
