A 52-year old hiker had faced up to one year in prison, a 15,000-euro (US$ 19,947) fine and seeing his name added to the sex offenders list after a woman took offense at his nude stroll.  He had dived into the bushes when he spotted the woman with her grandson, but she took him to court regardless for indecent exposure.  He and fellow nudists/naturists had demanded a change in the law so that "people are not simply punished for being naked". His lawyer hailed the judgment as a victory for nudists/naturists everywhere.
