A Photo Journey of our recent trip to the Greek Olympiad

Students prepared for the Greek Olympiad (Greek Games) throughout the school year.

In May we travelled to a camp near Hope, BC to attend the games

Students from Saltwater Waldorf School’s Class 5-6 attended the Greek Olympiad along with 130 students from 8 sister Waldorf schools across British Columbia and Alberta.

The students came together for this 3 day event, and practiced and participated alongside their classmates and new found friends.

The games were witnessed by Spacial Dynamics practitioners who provided feedback and encouragement.

Eight city states of varying colours housed the athletes and were attended to by Kings and Queens

Artistic renderings of songs, poems, and plays were presented by each class during the second evening

City states prepared a portion of the play ‘Heracles’ to present on the last evening.
Each day included songs, eurythmy, blessings, and free time.

On the day of the games athletes, teachers, kings, queens and witnesses adorned white tunics.  Spectators arrived to view the event.

Let the games begin!
