Hello Saltwater Families and community. The school year preparations for the Martinmas Festival Lantern Walk are underway - the children have been making their lanterns. On November 13th the Early Childhood Lantern Festival will happen in the play yard at 4:30. Please come for a fire, stories, apple cider and popcorn. This event is open to preschool and kindergarten children.

Please also note that the Lantern Festival for the Grades will be happening November 14 at 4:45 at our recess park (Cousins Park). Kindergarten children are invited to either or both Lantern Walks.

We also have school photos happening on Monday, November 17. You will receive your order forms November 13.

Please also note that our Courtenay Christmas Parade is coming up Sunday, November 23. Come out and walk with your school community at 2 pm. We will send out instructions on our meeting place soon.

The Parent Committee has been preparing for the Winter Faire on December 6. If you would like to help with this event talk to Emma Hutchinson or Marussia Nesling.

Courtenay Christmas Parade  - November 23 at 2 pm

The Saltwater Waldorf School is enrolled again for the Christmas Parade happening Sunday November 23 at 2 pm. Please come out and walk with us for this event. Our turnout last year was amazing and we won the prize for the Best Children's Float Entry. 

Call for Treasurer - Are you interested in volunteering as the School Board Treasurer?
The Saltwater Waldorf School Board is looking for a Treasurer. This position involves between 5-10 hours per week and this times includes monthly school board meetings (every second Tuesday), consultations with the school Book-keeper and audits. If you or someone you know is interested please talk to Julie Mills at the office.
After-School Care Program for 2014-15
Lucia Perez Britos currently leads our After-School care program. If you require this program please talk to Lucia as space is limited.  Our preference is a monthly commitment - however drop-in may be available.  Lucia and Wendy Poole offer programming for preschool to Grade 6 students with a cost of 7$ per hour. Activities include outdoor time for play, arts and crafts and a small snack.
