Message from the CAIA CEO
As COVID-19 continues to spread, the future has never felt so unpredictable. These are challenging times for us all, and we hope you’re in good spirits and health!
Right now, CAIA is doing everything possible to sustain daily operations and provide services to our community. While there’s a lot of uncertainty, we know that we need to adapt fast to our changing reality. Now, more than ever, our community needs us. And we need your support. We have now made supporting CAIA even easier via the link below but first we want to thank everyone who already supports us via their membership and regular donations.
You can also help by advocating for us by sharing our mission with a family member or friend. Encourage them to follow CAIA’s social media. Even a quick mention on your social media would mean the world to us.
In times like this, we’re reminded of how interconnected we all are. Thank you for being part of our community. Without you, CAIA and its services would not be possible.
Stay safe and well,
Misak Ohanian – CAIA CEO

Befriending & Welfare Support for Carers & Cared For
Since late March CAIA staff and volunteers have proactively made over 300 phone calls (50 a week on average) to Carers/Cared for older/disabled people living in Ealing and across London to reassure them, befriend them, identify their needs, circumstances during the lock down.
If you know of any older/vulnerable person living in isolation during this difficult time who may need practical or emotional support, please let us

CAIA Elders Lunch Club/Welfare Support
We are making deliveries of free food to those who need/attend CAIA’s weekly Social/Lunch Club and live locally in Ealing and other West London Boroughs. We have prioritised those who are unable to shop, cook and are struggling on their own due to the lockdown.
CAIA as part of the ACEMC (Armenian Community Emergency Management Committee)
has delivered over 130 free food parcels since late March 2020 to 40+ vulnerable households thanks to surplus food provided by The Felix Project, City Harvest and Morrisons Acton.
For more information visit www.acemc.org.uk
or call CAIA or any one of the ACEMC partners.
In addition to distributing food weekly, CAIA is also referring vulnerable socially isolated Armenians during the Covid 19 lockdown to local Food banks and local authorities who may not be aware of their needs. CAIA is registered with Ealing, Brent, Hillingdon and Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbanks. These are often one-off referrals which is highly appreciated by those who have received them. If you need or know someone who qualifies for such support please contact CAIA.
