November Meeting Recap
We are grateful to all who were able to attend our General Membership Meeting on Monday, November 18, 2019. It was an action-packed evening that included great information from district officials, community partners, and PTA updates. We also elected a Nominating Committee and are thrilled to report that Tricia Woods has decided to continue on as our Treasurer! We also had some great traning classes on a variety of topics. Get all the details by reading the full meeting recap on our website!

Project: Love 4 Frank

#PTAProud Project: Love 4 Frank featuring a photo of their new cap mural on a chainlink fence outside of the school.Frank Love PTA has taken the familiar concept of Community Serve Day to a new level with their new Project: Love 4 Frank. The idea is to bring community members together to help beautify the school four times a year. Their first event took place in November and they accomplished a lot, including installation of a fabulous "cupping project" on the chain-link fencing at the front of their school.

Building community and facilitating opportunities for people to work together towards a common goal is a powerful way to develop Family and Community Engagement. That makes us super #PTAProud! Learn more about Project: Love 4 Frank and the new mural on our website.
Is your PTA doing something that makes you #PTAProud? Or have you seen or heard about PTA activities in Northshore that inspire or deserve recognition? We would love to hear about it! Please contact Melissa Kline or Cindy Jensen with your program, story, or event!

Have You Updated ParentVUE?

Do you know what to do in the case of an emergency or crisis during school hours?

Do NOT rush to school to pick up your child.  Your school is in an area where the additional traffic may impede needed emergency vehicles or personnel from arriving.  If a school evacuation is ordered, your presence at the site could delay evacuation and reunification. When the situation is under control, students and parents will be reunited in a safe, orderly, and timely manner.
  1. Wait for notification from your school or the district for the pickup process. Your student could be relocated via bus to one of three or more reunification sites depending on the situation.
  2. ALL PARENTS AND EMERGENCY CONTACTS must have picture identification to pick up the student.
  3. The parent, guardian, trusted neighbor or authorized emergency contact’s name must be in  ParentVUE.
Please take this opportunity to update the emergency contacts in ParentVue. and consider including trusted neighbors or others that can respond to the reunification sites in case your response is delayed by other emergencies happening in our region.
