A Letter From The Glass City Swing Band

Dear GCSB supporters,

I would like to thank all sponsors and donors that help get SCAT off the ground especially the Greensburg Kiwanis Club and the Jeannette Kiwanis Club. It was a huge success! You can read more about it in the "SCAT A SUCCESS" section.

Battle of the Sinatras on November 2, 2018 at the Greensburg Salem Middle School auditorium was great! All five finalists did an awesome job! I would like to thank Dr. Rod Booker and Kelli Brisbane for judging the finalists and MC Ed Christofano. The winners are:

First Place: Alexander Podolinski, Greensburg Salem
Second Place: Gianna Blawas, Greensburg Salem
Third Place: Lavanya Anantharaman, Franklin Regional
Many thanks to Hayden's Pharmacy for sponsoring this event!

Our last big concert of the year will be "A Swingin' Christmas Spectacular" on December 7, 2018 at the Greensburg Salem Middle School auditorium. The concert will begin at 7 PM. You don't want to miss this concert! You will hear holiday favorites and a little bit of The Nutcracker Suite set in the swing style with a few surprises throughout the concert. Tickets are on sale now at There is an online Veterans Day sale going on through Monday, November 12th on adult tickets. Only $12.50!

This concert was supported in part by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.

What is Swingin' With Creative Arts Therapies (S.C.A.T.)

On October 20, 2018 SCAT was held at Clelian Heights School in Greensburg and was a huge success!

Here's a quote from Don Graham, a parent of one of the participants: "Robbi is still talking about what a good time he had yesterday at Clelian. You guys really made a good impression on him. Thanks so much for inviting him to attend."

Enjoy video clips from SCAT
