Celebrating Civic Health Month

The Civic Health Alliance is a proud partner of Civic Health Month, a project of Vot-ER that aims to ensure that each and every voter is able to use the ballot box to shape the health of their communities. Below is a round up of a few civic health resources and opportunities we’ve been sharing daily in the month of August.

Interested in serving as a poll worker? Share your zip code with Power the Polls and they will direct you to relevant deadlines, applications, etc. specific to your locality.

Offering Support to Track Voter Registration

Have you been encouraging colleagues and/or patients to vote in your health setting? Are you having trouble finding the time and resources to track registration data? Email info@civichealthalliance.org to request a trackable QR and hyperlink that directs to Vote.org, an online voter registration platform. We’ll also include a ready made flyer, slide, and outreach language with your custom QR code/hyperlink to support your efforts. The CHA team can commit to sending weekly updates on successfully completed registrations through the end of this election cycle. Additional resources can be found on the Civic Health Alliance website.

Available in Spanish: RxVote Prescriptions

Our RxVote Prescriptions are now available in English and Spanish! Consider placing these in your units/clinics, handing out to patients in the waiting room, or distributing at an upcoming conference. Email info@civichealthalliance.org to be mailed Spanish or English versions at no cost to you. If requested, we are happy to create a custom flyer with a co-branded logo and/or trackable QR code.

Staff Spotlight: Russia Chavis, MPP

The Civic Health Alliance team is incredibly grateful to have Russia serving as our Director of Strategy and Partnerships. In this role she provides leadership in the development of CHA’s strategic direction and external partnerships. She brings nearly 15 years of experience in public policy, advocacy, government relations, social impact, and nonprofit management. Russia earned her BA in Legal Studies & Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, as well as her Masters of Public Policy from the University of Southern California. Thank you Russia!
