Regions and Airports newsletter

Dear Members and ARC friends,
The November edition of our newsletter comes with plenty of articles that we think will interest you.

You may read about our members’ successes and projects such as that the Canary Islands will get a new airport terminal in Tenerife, Groningen Eelde airport has welcomed its 200 000th passenger, Maastricht has been recognised for the climate change credit its free route space project has lead to, and Brussels has managed to reduce disembarkment delays.

Also, you can read about a Scottish EU-funded project which aims to help remote and rural airports to reduce their carbon footprint, for which the ARC is an associate partner. We also have news on how the aviation industry is working on current issues such as noise, electric ground handling vehicles and other green projects. In the run up to the Paris summit COP21 the mention in the draft text of CO2 reduction and climate change has been changed.

We would also like to highlight that ARC Member, Ile-de-France, is co-organising together with among others the European Committee of the Regions, an event during COP21 on the subject of “Regions and Citizens acting together against Climate Change on 2 December in Paris.

We hope that you will read our newsletter with great interest, and please do not hesitate to contact us to share what is going on in your airport region!

Yours,

the ARC Secretariat
