Z-Health Brain and Neurology based Trainings
(See the times for the 2 class offerings below)
Z-Health brain and neurologic based training enhances performance by improving the main sources of input to the brain: Proprioception, Vision, and Vestibular/Balance. Since the brain is all about survival, it tries to predict what is going to happen. The better the quality of information the brain receives, the better its ability to predict what will happen, and in return allows for a higher level of performance in power, force, flexibility, and coordination. Poor input leads to poor predictability, a dampening down in performance, and possibly the creation of pain to put the brakes on the body even further. Learn how to improve the skills of Vision, Balance, and Proprioception to change your body's performance.
Introductory Workshop: October 2nd 7:15-8:45pm

Introduction to 'Conscientious Embodiment' Workshop
Develop greater capacity to relate to whatever arises, especially when under pressure, from a centered state that accesses “presence, confidence, and compassion”.
Saturday, October 7th, 9:30-12:30
(see alternative offerings below)
Oakland near the Grand Lake Theater, 580/Grand Ave
CALL 510-832-5725 to register and receive exact location.
Value = Priceless. Offered on a donation basis.
Through simple interactive exercises that are simulations of life interactions without the story or content, Conscientious Embodiment creates a laboratory in which we can:
- observe our habitual, reactive patterns that arise when relating to ourselves and others especially under pressure or stress.
- learn a simple practice for accessing a centered state.
- investigate and cultivate our capacity to access the presence, confidence, and compassion of the centered state as an alternative to our habitual patterns.
This workshop is based on the "Leadership Embodiment
" work developed by Wendy Palmer, a sixth degree black belt in Aikido. Wendy has made the principles of the non-aggressive martial art of Aikido and mindfulness meditation practices available to those who may not be able to formally study the martial art, or to sit in long meditation retreats.
