Weekly Wellness Tip: Find Your Percentage

Less than 100% is okay. We can't expect ourselves to be 100% productive right now. Instead of setting yourself and others up for failure and disappointment, be honest about what we call can do and give right now.

Perhaps you can only give 60% of yourself to work right now. Or maybe you're at 30% when it comes to homeschooling your children.  Right now, our brains may not allow more as we navigate this pandemic and the constant change to our normal lives.

If you are working from home, on the front lines, or unemployed, be honest about what you can and cannot do right now. If you're an employer, take the lead in having these conversations with your team. Be proactive and ask them how much of their energy, brain functionality, and time they can honestly give to work right now. Acknowledge their desire to give 100%, while recognizing they may not be able to.
