A Message from Ed Lu, B612 Foundation's CEO

As the first Asteroid Day approaches on June 30, 2015, we are very glad to be one of the founding members of this global movement. At B612 Foundation, we continue to implement our original mission laid out in 2002 to be a planetary defense organization, concentrating on science and technology, advocacy, and education. Our goals have always been to educate people about Near-Earth Asteroids and what we can do about those that might impact our planet. To see the excitement generated by Asteroid Day, and knowing that people from around the world are inspired to come together to learn more and what we can do to protect our planet, families, communities, and future generations from asteroid impacts is very rewarding. Last week’s Newsweek cover story shows that Asteroid Day’s efforts have made the issue of asteroid impacts a worthy cause for awareness—and action.
A crucial part of Asteroid Day is the signing of the 100X Declaration by citizens around the world. This declaration has been signed by astronauts, scientists, artists and leaders in business and technology and calls for increased detection and mapping of asteroids. I would like to ask you, as a supporter of B612 Foundation, to add your name to this declaration before Asteroid Day on June 30. Please click here to add your name.
On behalf of myself and the entire B612 team, thank you for being part of this global effort to protect Earth from asteroid impacts!
Best,

CEO, B612 Foundation
