Last week Notre Dame School welcomed 170 students, including 29 new students, back into the classroom. Our NDS families come to us from 78 different zip codes all over the Dallas Metroplex. From Prosper to Rockwall to DeSoto, families make huge sacrifices for the exceptional special education program at NDS. One of the unique elements of a Notre Dame School education is the opportunity to form meaningful and lasting friendships. Cheers to a new year and new experiences!
Our Cheerleaders were the shining stars at the North Texas Giving Day Kickoff with WFAA Daybreak at Klyde Warren Park! They were dressed and ready to celebrate at 5:00am on Friday August 10. We are so proud of them!

It was so wonderful to see our Notre Dame students on the first day of the 2022-2023 school year. From greeting students in the morning, to being in classrooms and walking the halls, I could feel the joy throughout the building.
The educational team and staff have worked tirelessly to prepare for this school year with professional training and a mission retreat that connected us with the School Sisters of Notre Dame, founders of our school. These mission moments keep our hearts and spirit dedicated to what we do. Sister Gloria Cain (SSND) asked that we remember this each day: “Be it known to all who enter here that Christ is the reason for Notre Dame School.” Christ is present in our students, teachers, and families. We are committed to remembering this on the challenging days and the awesome days- celebrating the gifts of our students and this magnificent school.
A favorite morning song of the students is “This is day the Lord has made- let us rejoice and be glad in it.” It rings true as we embark on a school year under somewhat more normal circumstances than the past couple of years. We will rejoice as we continue to work on getting back to our more normal activities and continue our strong commitment to keep students safe and healthy.
