From the Principal's Desk

This month we celebrate the beautiful season of Advent, prayerfully preparing and waiting for the birth of the Christ child. It is such a blessing to be able to focus on the true meaning of Christmas with our students.

The halls are bustling with the sounds of season as students prepare for the annual Christmas play at Ursuline Academy.  Classrooms are decorated and a visit from Santa Claus is imminent.  The students are eagerly awaiting not only the gifts that Santa brings but the most important gift of all, the birth of our Savior Jesus.

Notre Dame School has so much to be thankful for this year, our amazing new building brings smiles of joy to all who enter.  The Hearts and Hammers campaign has been phenomenally successful and we are at 90% of our 11 million dollar goal.  We are so grateful for the tremendous community support that we have received.

With a thankful heart, wishing you and your family the peace, joy and blessings of Christmas!

Delighting Shoppers at NorthPark Center

The Notre Dame Choir kicked off December in song at NorthPark Center.  Even the most hurried of shoppers stopped in their tracks to listen and enjoy the familiar tunes of "Silent Night" and "Oh Holy Night".  Passersby took a moment to feel the peace of the season, as the choir sang:

Fall on your knees
Oh hear the angel voices
Oh night divine

What a wonderful reminder for us all this season.

An Affair of the Heart 2015

On November 7, supporters of Notre Dame School of Dallas gathered at the Hilton Anatole for the annual auction and gala, “An Affair of the Heart”.  The theme of this year's event was "Celebrating Hearts with Hammers".

“Though proceeds from the gala support the operational budget of the school, we wanted to highlight and celebrate the incredible progress in our $11 million capital campaign,” stated school principal, Theresa Francis.  To date, the campaign has raised $10 million.

Honorary Chairs of the event were The Walter Adams Family, whom have been longtime donors and supporters of Notre Dame School.  Event Chair was Mrs. Lee McGinnis.

Cynthia Izaguirre of WFAA sparkled on stage as the Master of Ceremonies.  This is the fourth year Izaguirre has hosted the event.

This year's event raised over $400,000.  Thank you to everyone who attended this important event for our school!
