From the Principal's Desk

Welcome back to school and a new year! Thank you for the many ways you recognized the faculty and staff over the Christmas season. We feel very blessed!

It’s hard to believe that we are coming up to the one year mark for building completion. We are experiencing record enrollment and interest in our program.  The fruits of our campaign have come to bear as we prepare to purchase two new buses and a new minivan for our community-b
ased instruction and job training.  We added a primary class this year and preliminary interest indicates we may add an additional class.  The cheerleaders continue to be recognized and asked to perform at numerous opening events throughout the city.  Our job training program continues to grow adding two additional partners to our more than 25 different sites.  We continue to find new and innovative ways to use technology to support our student learning objectives.  As we enter into a new year we give thanks for the generosity and support of the Dallas community.   - Theresa Francis

November 5th marked the annual gala benefiting Notre Dame School of Dallas.  This year's event was held in the Grand Ballroom at the Renaissance Dallas Hotel, a new location for An Affair of the Heart. Over 350 guests enjoyed the silent auction, largely comprised of items donated from our lead sponsor, Tuesday Morning.  "Tuesday Morning has sponsored our Silent Auction for over 20 years.  The large array of items in our Silent Auction provides a fabulous shopping experience for our guests while contributing to our bottom line," stated principal, Theresa Francis.

Guests also enjoyed a live auction, casino and a live performance by the students of NDS.

Proceeds from An Affair of the Heart directly impact the operating budget and provide financial aid for over 30% of Notre Dame students.  The 2017 event will be held on Saturday, November 4.

DALLAS POLICE ASSOCIATION HELPS SANTA

Dallas Police Association brought lots of good cheer to the students of Notre Dame School.  DPA sponsored gifts for every student and a pizza lunch.  The students of Notre Dame look forward to this special day every year, when Santa arrives bearing gifts for each student.  Students wait patiently until every child has received a present, and then the countdown begins for them to unwrap the gifts.
Thank you Dallas Police Association for making Christmas magical for our students!
Notre Dame Students danced the night away at the Annual Jesuit Christmas Dance.  Thank you to the Jesuit for hosting such a fun evening!
