It is spelled ‘faux’, but it is pronounced “foe”. It is a French word that means “fake”. Manufacturers sometimes put that word in front of something genuine to spin the truth, as in “faux leather” or “faux fur”. It sounds better than saying “this is a cheap, plastic version of the genuine article”. As the Apostle Paul ends the fourth chapter of Ephesians, he warn believers not to slip into wrong behaviors and thereby practice a “faux faith”. This passage is one of the most practical in the Bible that instructs us how to behave as genuine believers in ways that honor Christ.

This year’s Salvation Army Annual Fundraiser will be a drive-thru dinner to be picked up at GracePoint Church on April 10 between the hours of 4:00-7:00pm for a cost of $15.00 each. Purchase your meals at paybee.io/@salarmylodi until March 26th. The dinner will include marinated charbroiled chicken, rice pilaf and vegetables. The Online Silent Auction will open on March 26 and run until 6pm on April 10. The winners will be announced online at 7pm. Use the registration link as the same link to view the auction items and participate in the silent auction. Items such as vacation cabin stays, gift baskets and other one-of-a-kind items will be auctioned.
 

GracePoint Church will begin collecting new student backpacks for the annual Salvation Army School Supply Drive starting Sunday, April 11. These backpacks are given to local boys and girls who are unable to afford one for the start of school in the fall. Please place your backpack donation into the red Salvation Army barrels on Sundays until June 27. If you are unable to purchase one, you can make a cash/check contribution made payable to “Salvation Army” and drop it off at the Information Center. If you are not able to get to church on Sundays, these donations will be accepted in the church office.
 

October 29-31 will be a Christ-centered weekend in Lake Tahoe with guest speaker Curt Harlow. Cost: $229.
