Title: “I’ll Be Homesick For Christmas"
Text: John 1:14 / John 14:1-3
Pastor Perry Kallis
Have you ever been homesick while sitting in your own house? If you’ve ever longed for a time or place in your past, then the answer would be, “yes”, and it likely most often happens during the season surrounding Christmas. For many of us, this is the time of year that sparks memories of past joys with family and friends. But homesickness can actually be a healthy Biblical reminder of the foundational truth of Christmas in many ways. Jesus left His home in heaven to make His dwelling with us and bring us salvation and the eternal hope of eternity in God’s heavenly home. The sermon this week will review the benefit of this kind of godly homesickness and the motivation it can be to live for God’s mission of Good News.
