National Brain Awareness Week March 7th to 13th is an annual initiative to raise awareness of neurological conditions

Did you know that?

Over 800,000 Irish people live with neurological conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, dementia, acquired brain injury and multiple sclerosis as well as a wide range of rare and genetic conditions

Over 40,000 Irish people are diagnosed with a neurological condition each year
How does Ireland rate in terms of health services for people living with these conditions?
Ireland has the lowest number of consultants in Europe to diagnose, treat and rehabilitate people with neurological conditions and huge gaps in services in both hospital and community nationwide meaning that thousands of people struggle to get the care they need.
