BC CONFERENCE BOARD OF DIRECTORS NEWS

The BC Conference Board of Directors (BOD) met Sunday, October 27, to give direction, make mission-critical decisions, and receive reports. The meeting also included the Annual Financial & Statistical Review. Here are some updates:

- Reports were received from Auditing, Camp Hope, Communications, Education, Ministerial, Planned Giving, President, and Youth.
Our Treasurer, Jeff Klam, presented the BC Conference Financial Statement and the ABC Financial Statement. He also reported that the final plans for the new Conference Office building were submitted to the City of Abbotsford. We await the response

- It was voted to ask Pastor Normand Cote to join the K-12 Board to fill the vacancy left by Pastor David Rodriguez who is now pursuing an MDiv Degree at Andrews University.

- The BOD heard a report from and dialogued with Brian Wahl, Youth Director, regarding Children, Earliteens and Youth at camp meeting.

- BOD meeting dates were set for 2020, which include a Visioning Weekend early in the new year.

- Jeff Klam is stepping into a new role as Conference Auditor to spend more time with family. We are looking forward to the soon arrival of Denny Rumambi who will succeed Jeff Klam as Treasurer.

- The BOD voted to invite Neil Peralta to be the pastor of the Port Hardy Church.

- The BOD voted to appoint Robert Folkenberg to plant a church in Squamish, near Whistler. This is possible, in large part, due to an anonymous donation given for this purpose.
