Disability Sport
The GBA website now includes a disbility sport section to ensure that the people of Berkshire with physical, sensory and learning difficulties have equal access to sport and physical activity across Berkshire.

Workplace Challenge 2016 New Year Activity Log
The new activity challenge will run from 4th January to 28th February focusing on simple ways to increase your activity in the workplace. As always there are loads of opportunities to win prizes just for taking part and Refer A Friend to earn free cinema tickets.

Coaching Courses
GBA strives to support local coaches with support for education and development via our course programme. The next available course is the scUK Safeguarding and Protecting Children taking place at the Finchampstead Baptist Church, Wokingham on 7th December from 6:15pm.

Team Berkshire Clubs Support Offer
GBA are able to support the county’s sports clubs to grow, deliver more and better sport/physical activity, and be sustainable. We can provide support in a number of ways.

Club Forum
To gain support on the Club Matters tool, expert advice on funding streams, information on the GBA Club Support offer, special key note speakers, networking opportunities and relevant updates attend the GBA Club Forum.
Please save the date of the next Club Forum scheduled for 28th January 2016 taking place in Reading.
Badminton 4 Macmillan
The week of Monday 23rd November saw Badminton England team up with Macmillan Cancer Research for the Badminton 4 Macmillan week. GBA lead a fun doubles tournament at the Windsor Leisure Centre on Tuesday 24th November raising over £90.00 for Macmillan Cancer Research UK.

2016 National Badminton Awards
Celebrate and honour the amazing work carried out every day by individuals and organisations across England in the 2016 National Badminton Awards.

Inspire Reading
Funded by Reading Borough Council and the Reading Public Health team in an aim to engage the local community to take up new activity through a variety of local events and festivals the Inspire Reading programme is a series of 10 events organised by GBA.

Rhino Sports Offer
GBA have secured a new partnership deal with Rhino Sports, a world leading international Sports kit and equipment supplier, to provide your school, club, organisation or athletes a discounted rate on all their products.

Funding is available to deliver innovative sport and physical activity projects targeting young people aged 11-25yrs. The application deadline for Sportivate Year 6 (delivery from April 2016) is Friday 11th December.

Satellite Clubs
Funding is available in the aim to encourage community sports clubs to run outposts of their clubs in new settings such as local schools, colleges, or other community venues, for all members of the community, aged 11-25. The applications for Satellite Clubs Year 4 are being received during February 2016.

GBA's Crowdfunding Campaigns Are Now Live!
GBA has invested into establishing a new Podium Partners crowdfunding website for local organisations, clubs, schools and young athletes to raise money to help overcome barriers to participation by helping cover their sporting costs. Campaigns are now live so please broadcast this across your networks.

Tesco Local Community Grants
Money raised by Tesco customers from carrier bag charging will be used for grants to improve green spaces in communities across England, Wales and Scotland. Projects that will get the green light as a result of the funding will include creating pocket parks, sports facilities, woodland walks and community gardens. The community grant scheme will support around 2,500 community green space projects each year with between £8,000 and £12,000.
