GBA Awards A Success!
Over 300 VIP guests, elite athletes, award shortlisters, award sponsors and guests attended the Hilton Hotel, Reading on the eve of Friday Feb 5th to celebrate Berkshire's unsung sporting heroes.

ThisGirlCan: Sport Relief
Sport England's This Girl Can campaign has teamed up with Sport Relief to encourage women and girl's everywhere to get active and raise money for good causes. To help raise the profile of this please start to use #ThisGirlCan and #SportRelief in your social media posts when getting active.

Engaging With Different Audiences

Female Coaches Series
25/02/16 - An informal workshop will help build confidence and self-esteem within individuals to not only empower themselves to be physically active, but to assume the role of the coach and help others to do the same.

Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile
Run, swim, cycle or even walk yourself proud at events across the country from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th March 2016. There's a distance for everyone, whether you're sporty or not.

ThisGirlCan: Run A Marathon
Back in October Get Berkshire Active and OK Our Kids teamed up to offer one lucky lady a place on the 2016 London Marathon. Louise Remenyi was our winner, who is now training to complete this task. 
Satellite Clubs
Funding is available in the aim to encourage community sports clubs to run outposts of their clubs in new settings such as local schools, colleges, or other community venues, for all members of the community, aged 11-25. The applications window closes at 4pm, 26th Feb.

GBA Crowdfund
GBA has invested into establishing a new Podium Partners crowdfunding website for local organisations, clubs, schools and young athletes to raise money to help overcome barriers to participation by helping cover their sporting costs.
