SAPCA Event- 9th June
The Sports and Play Construction Association (SAPCA) will bring their renowned Sports Facility Show to Reading’s Madejski Stadium, giving people throughout the sports and play sector an invaluable opportunity to gain crucial industry insight into important issues, such as how to increase your chances of successfully securing funding.

This Girl Can - Women's Sport Week - Volunteering Week
It's all been happening this week 1-7th June! To celebrate GBA have launched our This Girl Can - Get Active Bursary, where we are offering support to women looking to get more active. If you have anything to shout about, take to twitter using these hashtags #thisgirlcan #WSW2015 #Volunteeringweek

Be part of the Sports Zone at the Royal Berkshire County Show - 19 - 20th September 
GBA are proud to be coordinating the RBCS Sports Zone for a third year at Newbury Showground. Stands are being offered to clubs for free (additional charge for electricity supply), all we ask is that you offer a taster in your sport/activity as part of your stand in return. This event has over 60,000 visitors and therefore is a great opportunity to promote your club.

Motivational Interviewing training 
GBA have recently been delivering in-depth training in Motivational Interviewing (MI).  This 2-day interactive course covers all aspects of MI from its spirit to its principles, strategies and skills and also covers several theories and models of behaviour change.  Training has so far been delivered to Slough and Wokingham Borough Council staff (Public Health and Sport and Leisure) and to Solutions4Health and Health Diagnostics.  Courses can be delivered at your venue and are best done for groups of 8-12 participants.

Get Berkshire Active Club Development Day - 7th June 2015
GBA are hosting their third Development Day devised to; help clubs who work with children to gain their safeguarding qualification, to prepare you for any situation with a first aid qualification and develop your skills within the fundamentals of movement.

Run It - Celebrate Volunteering Week and join the run 
Join In has launched Run It. a new campaign to get more volunteers involved in community sport and boost participation in running. 
As Join In's research reveals, each volunteer creates the capacity for at least 8.5 more participants. By connecting running clubs with volunteers, Run It. will increase the amount of people taking part in running across the UK.

National Table Tennis Day 16th July 
A great chance to celebrate your love of the game, raise the profile of the sport and encourage more people to get involved. Table Tennis England are inviting schools, clubs, leagues, supporting partners and venues to run an event of their choice and to celebrate the sport!

Whats New...
Table Tennis England has club focused capital facilities funding of over £250,000 this financial year (2015/16) and additional funds to support the purchase of new tables.  The schemes include a dedicated multi-table club/facility fund and a club upgrade fund.
